Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program: :

Universal Pre-K programs are available to children who reside in the Newark Valley and Owego-Apalachin school districts. Pre-K is a fun place to learn and play. Children learn their alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors and improve their social skills. They are encouraged to express themselves and to experiment in art and science lessons.

This program is designed for children who turn 4 years old by December 1st of the year they intend to start Pre-K. The program is offered at the Apalachin Elementary School, the Owego Elementary School, and at Newark Valley Elementary. There are morning and afternoon sessions available that last 2 1/2 hours.

This popular program has limited enrollment, therefore families are selected using a lottery system.
