Free Swimming Lessons at Participating State Parks

Do you care for your grandchildren or other children during the day?  Are you looking for a fun, low-cost way to enjoy the warm weather?  FREE swimming lessons are offered through the Learn-to-Swim program at participating State Parks across New York State.  According to Governor Andrew Cuomo, “The Learn-to-Swim program is a great way for kids to become acquainted with the water and have fun in the sun safely and responsibly.”  Classes are appropriate for all ages and experience levels.  The following local parks are participating this year:  Chenango Valley State Park (607-648-5251), Oquaga Creek State Park (607-467-4160), Taughannock Falls State Park (607-387-6739), and Cayuga Lake State Park (315-568-5163).  Pre-registration is required.  Contact the park directly for more information or to register.
