Preventing Dehydration recording

Consuming plenty of water is important for everyone, but particularly for older adults.  As we age, we do not feel thirsty as often as younger people do.  Symptoms of dehydration can be mild (headaches or irritability) or severe (convulsions or low blood pressure).  Kristi Garzo, Registered Dietitian from Tioga Opportunities, Inc.’s Family Health Services Department, offered a valuable presentation at the Older Adult Health Fair on the dangers of dehydration and how to prevent it.  Please click on the link below to watch the clip.  For more information, please call the Department of Aging at 607-687-4120 or the Family Health Services Department at 607-687-5333.
