Tioga Opportunities, Inc., in collaboration with CASA Trinity, invites the community to a must-attend event titled “Shawna Has a Secret: Identifying and Understanding Signs of Trouble” on Tuesday, November 12th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Countryside Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guile Blvd., Owego.
This interactive event will take participants inside a mock teenage bedroom to explore hidden warning signs of adolescent drug use. Attendees will gain insight into the subtle clues that may indicate substance abuse, helping parents, caregivers, and community members intervene early to prevent further harm.
Additionally, Narcan training will be offered, teaching participants how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose—a vital skill in combating the ongoing opioid epidemic and potentially saving lives.
This free event is open to the public, especially those who work with or care for teenagers, including parents, educators, and youth workers. For more information, please contact Tioga Opportunities, Inc. at 607-687-5333 or via email at [email protected].
