Understanding & Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors

Has your loved one been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia?

During the middle stage of dementia, the person with the disease often starts to exhibit new behaviors that can be confusing for a caregiver.  These behaviors are a form of communication and are essential to understanding the needs of the person with dementia.  This program will help caregivers decipher behaviors and determine how best to respond.

Please join us on:

  • Thursday, June 7th from 10:00-11:30 AM at the Village Municipal Building, 9 Park St, Newark Valley

  • Thursday, June 21st from 1:30-3:00 PM at the Countryside Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guile Blvd, Owego (ICE CREAM SOCIAL TO FOLLOW—all proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association)

This program is free to the public, but registration is required.  Please call 607-687-4120, ext. 331 to reserve your seat today.
