Sara Chobot, Tioga Opportunities, Inc.’s Self-Sufficiency Facilitator, completed the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Train the Trainer Program, an intensive three-day course that certifies her as a trainer for the ACE Interface. The training was conducted by ACE Interface, a company that provides education and a variety of supportive resources towards the goal of preventing ACEs.
Sara’s certification as an “ACE Interface” trainer provides her with the ability to engage the community and encourage them to participate as agents of change. Sara says, “What I love is that the ACE Interface provides a bridge and connecting point for multiple disciplines, service sectors, and diverse communities. I see this education and discussion as just the first step to motivating a much larger grassroots movement toward community change.”
Tioga Opportunities, Inc. strives to strengthen and support the community by helping to improve health and well-being and prevent ACEs. Sara will be presenting ACE Interface information to staff at Tioga Opportunities, Inc. as well as to other agencies, community groups, and the public. Each interaction can be tailored to best fit the particular audience. If you are interested or would like more information, please feel free to contact Tioga Opportunities, Inc. at 607-687-4222.
