The Tioga County AARP Tax-aide Group is planning to provide our free tax service again this year. It’s going to work differently than in the past—in order to remain safe, most person-to-person contact will be avoided. Though the details have not yet been finalized, taxpayers will likely fill out some information ahead of time and will bring that, along with all the appropriate tax and identification documents, to the Countryside Community Center or an alternate location. We will review your tax situation with you, make sure the information is complete, and then scan everything for later tax preparation (likely while you wait in your car). We will notify you when your return is ready for pick-up and final signature.
Watch the Owego Pennysaver and the TOI website for more information about when and how to schedule appointments. If you’d like to be added to our email distribution list for future notifications, please send a request to [email protected] (Note: Scheduling has not opened yet).
