Fiscal Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

The person in this position is responsible for the supervision of day-to-day operations of the agency’s finance department. This may include, but is not limited to, preparation of funding vouchers and reports; maintaining the agency’s financial software system; approves payroll, payment vouchers, cash receipts, and general journals; supervises the Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist(s).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

JOB SUMMARY

Assures the delivery of quality health care and education to those seeking services in the Family Planning clinic.

  • Obtains patient’s vital signs and records comprehensive health history
  • Conducts laboratory testing, including venipuncture, and prepares specimens for mailing or transport to off-site facilities
  • Offers general and problem specific counseling, which includes birth control methods, pregnancy options, sexually transmitted disease and HIV counseling with appropriate training
  • Maintains a record/log of all laboratory testing or specimens for both on and off-site testing, documents laboratory test results, notifies patients as needed, and arranges for follow-up per medical guidelines

Education and/or administration of  injectable, oral medication, and vaccines as ordered by the Medical Director and/or Mid-Level Practitioner

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university; OR
  • Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with two years’ experience in nursing; AND
  • Licensure: Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Organizational skills, ability to establish priorities, and to maintain accurate records.
  • Well-developed counseling and interpersonal relationship skills, and the ability to work well with individuals of all socio-economic levels

  • Develops and provides tailored community education programs on healthy behaviors that promote overall wellness
  • Develops and provides education programs on family planning/human sexuality issues and related life-skills
  • Develops and implements education and outreach services
  • Advertises and markets Family Planning Clinic services and programs
  • Coordinates education and outreach services with other community programs to promote comprehensive services and to prevent the duplication of services
  • Prepares and distributes health education materials and aids, including pamphlets, postcards, handouts, video/audio clips, images, and/or posters

     MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

    • Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, Health Education, Community Health Education, or related field is required; OR
    • Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Health Science, Health Education, Community Health Education, or related field plus two years related experience.
    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Knowledge of family planning/sexuality issues that are consistent with program goals and objectives
    • Well-developed verbal and written communication and public speaking skills
    • Well-developed interpersonal relationship skills, and the ability to work well with individuals of all socio-economic levels

    Housing Rehabilitation Specialist

    JOB SUMMARY

    The person in this position assures positive housing outcomes for customers including increased health and safety compliance.

    The person will be responsible for executing rehabilitation related contracts through the NYS Housing Trust Fund in conjunction with Director of Planning & Development and Rehab Consultant, and ensuring applicable standards and regulations are met; develops and maintains a positive working relationship with homeowners and contractors, and Consultant. Responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of housing rehabilitation activities; supports the Planning & Development Department in reviewing and approving jobs and administering the project deliverables.

     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School diploma required, AND two years’ work experience in the field of construction trades, building inspection, housing management OR experience administering a program requiring determining eligibility, maintaining a database, etc.
    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Must have knowledge of housing inspection and construction methods, procedures, and practices
    • Must have the ability to communicate solutions to health & safety concerns to property owners, contractors, code officials, and public officials

      Housing Services Specialist

      JOB SUMMARY

      The person in this position is responsible for facilitating smooth and efficient operations for agency rental housing and the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Rental Assistance Program; holistic housing services to meet health and safety standards and to establish self-sufficiency.

      • Maintains lease documents, vacancy, and wait lists for all properties
      • Responsible for advertising, showing, and leasing units at TOI rental properties
      • Coordinates and conducts move-in/out inspections, annual and follow-up inspections of TOI rental properties

      Inputs tenant information and certification data into database 

       MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      • A graduate from a regionally accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a Business Management, Property Management or the Human Services field AND two years’ work experience in property management or human services; OR
      • A graduate from a regionally accredited two-year college with an associate degree AND four years of experience in property management, real estate, or human services; OR  Work experience in property management, real estate or human services can be substituted for the college degree based on two years’ experience for one year of college education.
      REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
      • Must have a working knowledge of tenant/landlord rights and ability to interpret and apply program regulations
      • Must have ability to work with the public; must be calm, flexible, organized, and be able to work in a modern office setting
      • Must have computer, and verbal and written communication skills

        WIC Peer Counselor

        JOB SUMMARY

        Contributes to the improved health and well-being of infants by promoting breastfeeding as the preferred infant feeding method.

        • Provides basic breastfeeding information and support to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers
        • Contacts pregnant and breastfeeding mothers via multiple avenues of communication and/or visits with mothers at the WIC clinic, home, or hospital, occasionally outside normal WIC clinic hours
        • Keeps accurate records, maintains paper and electronic charts, and prepares reports as needed
        • Encourages mothers to have confidence in what they are doing and asks permission to observe breastfeeding and prior to touching mother and/or baby

         MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

        • Graduation from High School OR possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma; AND
        • Experience with breastfeeding AND current or former WIC participant
        REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
        • Interpersonal skills to relate well with individuals of all socio-economic levels
        • Well-developed organizational skills, ability to establish priorities, and to maintain accurate records
