TOI was proud to take part in the annual Point In Time (PIT) count held on January 26th to estimate the number of sheltered and unsheltered community members experiencing houselessness on a specific night in January.
Erica Bayne, TOI’s Housing Services Coordinator, joined with volunteers from other local agencies and organizations and headed out in groups to various parts of the county to locate and identify unsheltered individuals. Each group took blankets and emergency clothing packs to aid those in need, as well as direct availability to emergency personnel in case an individual requested help or shelter for the night.
