Tioga Opportunities, Inc. is honored to be the recipient of a very generous grant from Tioga County Senior Citizens Foundation. A $10,000 award was presented to Christina Brown, Director of Management and Administration, this week by Dave Woodburn. The grant will be used in continuing to address the unmet needs of older adults in Tioga County. TOI would like to thank the Senior Citizens Foundation for their generous and continued support!
The Tioga County Senior Citizens Foundation was established in 1982 with funds from the sale of the Owego Home for Aged Women which provided care to older women for decades on Front Street in Owego, NY. The goal of this charitable foundation is to enhance the quality of life of senior citizens living in Tioga County, New York. Awards are made to those applicants providing direct services to senior citizens including organizations and agencies which assist seniors with food pantries, support for health and safety, transportation, shelter and residential repairs.
