A Community Open House was held at TOI’s WIC and Family Health Center on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week. Visitors had the chance to tour the WIC and Family Planning offices, meet and speak with our staff, learn more about TOI programs and services, and enjoy delicious refreshments. During the event, the staff also showcased the new building signage with our recently redesigned logo, created and installed by Anything Artistic in Owego.
Celebrated each year during the first week of August, World Breastfeeding Week aims to raise awareness of the health and wellness benefits of breastfeeding and the importance of supporting mothers to breastfeed for as long as they wish. WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program provides supplemental food packages, nutrition education, and breastfeeding support for eligible infants, children, and women.
