The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly affected our community, and in response, community partners are discovering ways to address the evolving needs brought forth by the ongoing pandemic.
Tioga Opportunities, Inc. is proud to host Agency Spotlight: Grief during COVID-19 on Wednesday, August 18th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Countryside Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guile Blvd., Owego.
Tioga Opportunities, Inc., Tioga County Mental Hygiene, A New Hope Center, and CASA-Trinity will be sharing information on their programs and services and then leading a panel discussion about COVID-19 related grief. Topics will include tips on how to handle emotions and grief in the wake of a pandemic, and how grief has impacted populations dealing with aging, children and families, substance abuse, and domestic violence. A question-and-answer segment will follow. A mental health professional will be on site during the event.
